It’s a rare thing to be able to work with household names like Alex Turner or James Ford on your debut album, but Alexandra Savior managed to capture their interest with the same retro nostalgia that both men come up with for Turner’s side project The Last Shadow Puppets. Although Savior’s songs are the result of the same universe, with a love for 60’s noir pop at the center of it, her melancholic voice and a more restrained instrumentation make it clearly distinct from the work of Turner and Miles Kane. Mirage is an addictive, beautiful song, with both the music and the lyrics making us look forward to debut album Belladonna of Sadness, coming out on the 7th of April.
